A jet ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.
