Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
