Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt prepared to express about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a distinct piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities offered varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan described the comments as "shocking" and suggested they showed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have acted when the impulse to speak on the passing was made.
