The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

A pair of titles you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — transforming them into excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
